Spring is in the air, and it’s a great time of year to get outside and enjoy the California sunshine! Living at Weston in Santee, you’re surrounded by endless opportunities for outdoor fun and adventure. If you’re looking for spring sports events near Santee for your little ones to participate in, here are some great camps and classes starting soon.
Scooter & BMX Classes
Got a little athlete who’s ready to catch some air on their BMX bike or scooter? Starting in late April and running through May, kids ages 5-13 can take BMX or scooter classes at the Santee Skate Park in Woodglen Vista Park and learn some sweet moves. Classes are designed for riders of all levels and are taught by experienced instructors. All riders must be a current Woodglen Vista Skate & BMX Park member; membership is free.
Little Tots Golf Clinic
Teach your kids an important lesson – there’s more to golf than just riding in the golf cart! It’s never too soon for even the youngest family members to start learning Mom or Dad’s favorite sport. This golf clinic for children ages 3-7 will teach them all about putting, chipping and full swing. Sessions run May 2-23, and are held at Carlton Oaks Golf Course.
Youth Tennis Spring Break Camp
Whether your child is new to tennis or has played before, Youth Tennis Spring Break Camp is a week full of exercises and drills that will help any level player improve their game. The camp takes place April 15-19 at Santana High School Tennis Courts, and is for ages 5-18. Friday will be Tournament Day, when players are grouped by age and ability for one final day of fun! There are also Youth Tennis Workouts starting April 13 and running through June 1.
